“The Plant Art Exhibition in Hawaii” was held from February 02 to April 03, 2020 at the University of Hawai`i at Hilo Campus, hosted by Hawaii Sakura Amity Association ( Hawaii Sakura Foundation).
Near the end of the exhibition, Hawaii was also hit by Corona, therefore, the catalog production was delayed and it was completed in 2021.
More than 20 botanical artists from Japan and from Hawaii kindly exhibited their important master pieces in this botanical art exhibition.
These artists are internationally well recognized first-rank botanical artists who have exhibited their work at the BMNH and Kew Gardens of UK, U.S. Smithsonian Museum, the New York Botanic Garden, the Netherlands and other famous botanically oriented European institutions as well as at the Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden in Thailand in south east Asia.
